David Carradine farewell

I walk away from memorabilia all the time. Every 10 years or so I just move out of the house and walk down the road. Just take my dog and what I can fit in my car.
-David Carradine (1936-2009)

interesting quote. but the question is: how much responsibility did he feel like taking for his actions and his relationships, if he felt so much like walking away from it all???

@Sarah Sofia- You make a good point, especially in light of what I heard that he had poor luck in his relationships. Who knows, really. Perhaps it was his career to which he felt the greatest commitment and responsibility.

Lydia, what a nice tribute. My husband and I have and will always think of him as "grasshopper". He gave us a great joy in the character from Kung Fu.

@Looking to the Stars- Your last sentence says it all.....

I loved that guy! A 70's girl, I remember him with great affection. Is it true they've ruled his death as NOT a suicide? If so, what exactly happened, has anyone said?

The world will miss his quiet presence in it.

There are times I'd like to do that - but I imagine it would worry my children! :)

@Beth- There are so many different rumors, reports about this that I'm not sure if we'll ever hear the truth. I hope he's at peace. I have a feeling he must be.

@citizen of the world- Oh, I think you are right. Probably best not to wrap a few belongings and tie them onto a stick, saying: "I'm wunning away." :)
