time for emptying
Living in open hibernation
with jade-hued trees —
Water features in their lives,
and in mine.
The sky takes
notice - shows a sheen more
glowing than my heart's
golden light in this temple
of stone and glass emptying
of itself.
Soon, clouds follow and
the sacred forest listens
as my temple hums and
glistens, emptying.
~~~
I wrote this for a writing prompt at my other blog, but afterward thought how it fit here as well. I have been remiss in posting at this blog. That may change as I think I need to use it as therapy in emptying my house of yet more "things" that I do not want.
I'm busy emptying, too. While the things I have were useful once, most of them I don't need. Strange, that; very strange.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Rob-bear~ Hearing from you gave me renewed energy for more emptying. You are such a good friend. Thank you.
Very powerful text!!
Phivos~ Thank you very much. I am glad you understood my thoughts here.
"The sky takes notice" and "The forest listens!" WOW! I love the way you let nature be your teacher. I can really identify here. Peel away all the baggage and become one with nature. Nice!
Chris ~ Thank you for finding your way to my other blog and for your lovely comment. You made me realize that I need to spend more time over here, could use the space to think quiet thoughts.....
Many thanks.
your words have given me such powerful thoughts as well!
Karen ~ Your comment and the follow meant a lot to me tonight. It has been ages since I tended this blog. It deserves better than that so I will make attempts to be here more often. Many thanks.
I find writing poetry therapeutic too.
KB ~ That is wonderful! Poetry is an inner guide in many ways.
