@Ted- You're deep, you know that? My only two Nabokov reads so far are Speak, Memory (a favorite book) and Lolita (it unnerved me). The title you suggest is ..... ahem, a bit off-putting. I take it that you have indeed read it.....
The perfect image for such profound, wise words. I let myself wander along the perspective created by the lines. I first thought of a movie called Tron http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3ODe9mqoDE but obviously I digress. I read the words then and everything made sense. Space and time, light and darkness, life and death. We are just an insignificant, ridicule, drop of plankton lost in an unfanthomed sea. Great choice for a post Lydia.
@Carlos- Tron. There's one to look for, if this photo made you think of that movie. I did the same thing you did..."wander along" in it. Nabokov's quote sure applied, and your summation of both was quite wonderful.
@Ted- I agree with you - Carlos is also deep. He has a spectacular photoblog that I highly recommend. And you...you are adding more to my reading list. I need to find an island and go there with many books. Or a Kindle, which I don't have...I may in the future. Kindle's seem very uncluttered to me.
